Texas Governor Perry says: "[Y]ou don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military, but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school."
I say: "You need to be a small-minded head in a big-bigoted Texas cowboy hat to think that gays and Christians (while being bound by the same code of ethics) cannot serve together honorably and openly in the military, while our kids (grateful for the peace and security they have brought to us) can freely and openly celebrate Christmas and pray in their hearts, homes, and places of worship in accordance to the dictates of their own consciences."
