The Land Of Intrigue

The land of intrigue, still even a Shirley Temple paradise, where a warm bath felt just as relaxing, a smile meant as much as any, and a word of welcome and appreciation was even more than heartfelt. The most perfect of satin-white horses pulled opal carriages across cobblestoned plazas beneath the most exquisite rose spires that towered over and gave grace to Giselle-fashioned women aside their piston-made men. It was Veterans’ Day, for not just their own, but for all. Warriors' day anthems resounded as patriotic as if spilled forth from the tongues of your and our own patriots, and the blood that was beat through spirit-charged hearts pulsed just as red as any under our one sun.
