Utah’s Jobs Program resides in a building on 900 East in Salt Lake City. This road already looks like it’s gone through several winters. Winter is on, again, and by mid-December, the road should have bathtub-sized potholes. This will generate income opportunities.
First, this will create jobs for those who fix ruined tires, shocks, alignment, etc., since battered cars will require more parts to be manufactured. Then, those who must travel it too often will seek a shrink for the PTSD caused by traveling this harrowing road. By spring, construction workers can repair enough of the road to hold up through the summer until we start all over again.
We can, however, look forward to local elections. Studies show that when local elections occur, the roads are better repaired.
