Give Me Medical Care or Give the Medical Industrial Complex Death

My brother-in-law confronted me on my support of Obama's health care plan. He represents a very conservative position. I represent a more radical solution. We both agree the American health care delivery system is a mess. He offered no solutions aside from suggesting that we abolish health insurance altogether--about as likely to happen without radical reform as abolishing apple pie. I, like him, have spent my time calmly walking in the ever tightening and comfortable circles of conservatism, but no more. The sad fact is that their comes a time when the few have amassed so much power and are so drunk with it that nothing short of revolution will pry it from their greedy hands. Such is the case with the medical industrial complex. We need a revolution. While I hope its not of the bloody French variety, it must nevertheless come, as bold, far reaching and forward looking as our own revolution was in 1776. Obama gives more promise of bringing that revolution to pass then McCain whose tiptoeing into the fray will invariably lead either to more of the same or a more stark change when it is too late for compromise.

While this is a great post and I'm relieved to see that others are starting to realize just what a mess weve gotten ourselves into by allowing unchecked power to thrive and expand. I can't help but remain baffled by the fact that everyone seems to think that voting for the lesser of two evils is the only option we have to stop it. McCain is a puppet for the New World Order just as Obama is. The are controlled by the same forces that want nothing more than to drive our country into third world status so that they can preserve their own power and elitist lifestyles. I won't go into all the details which prove beyond a shadow of doubt that both are simply two heads of the same monster. One needs to look no further then main stream media to realize that only those who go along with the plan are even allowed to be aknowledged in the media. Such as the case with Dr. Ron Paul who truly does believe in America and defending the constitution as his extensive voting record in congress proves. There was a complete media blackout during is election campaign, even going so far as to skip over primary results that he did well in. Thus only giving the American people two of their chosen ones (McCain and Obama) to decide between - I mean really, let's look at the bigger picture here people.
But let's get back to the medical crisis. Dr. Paul has a clear plan for correcting this problem and he outlines it in his Healthcare Reform Act which I have copied below. What does Obama plan to do about this issue? Besides "change" things. Or will he announce some amazing plan and then change his stance a couple weeks later like he did about getting us out of the war?

Here's the outline of Paul's health reform plan:

-Making all medical expenses tax deductible.
-Eliminating federal regulations that discourage small businesses from providing coverage.
-Giving doctors the freedom to collectively negotiate with insurance companies and drive down the cost of medical care.
-Making every American eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA), and removing the requirement that individuals must obtain a high-deductible insurance policy before opening an HSA.
-Reform licensure requirements so that pharmacists and nurses can perform some basic functions to increase access to care and lower costs.

By removing federal regulations, encouraging competition, and presenting real choices, we can make our health care system the envy of the world once again.
