Read about two places in Utah where charities make sure every grave is decorated for Memorial day. Someone, explain this to me. I see value in giving honor and remembering the dead because it helps us more fully value and embrace life and connects us to our heritage --to a point.
Yet, spending time, money, precious effort making sure every gravestone has a flower? We humans sometimes know how to take a somewhat rationale irrationality (graveyards period) and turn them into emotional frankensteins. Please tell me what I'm missing along with charities to sweater up dogs and fund manicures to the tribes in the amazon.
