I just read in the Hillsdale College Publication, “Imprimis,” Mark Mix's article the Wagner and Taft-Harley Acts. (Mix is President of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.)
I don't think much of compulsory union membership. The only argument I can think of for it is that if a company can negotiate an exclusive deal to only purchase a product from one company, it could decide to contract with a union to supply all of its labor.
I’m still not convinced.
