Rush is Juvenile

After playing a Ted Nugent video clip, radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh, commented to Nugent: "It wasn't that long ago, Ted, [that] Obama would have been bringing us hot coffee, serving us adult drinks." His delivery was the equivalent of a verbal wink and a nod. I think I know what he meant.

While Limbaugh may be intelligent and may give voice to some of your meritorious heartfelt philosophies and political positions, he is a horribly flawed messenger – not in the vein that one must be a worthy and a pure vessel to be a sounding board, but that his opinions are abhorrent because they are draped and infused with contention, hate, anger, malice, sexism, bigotry, and racism.

I have heard enough of him to believe this is true. It is not enough to justify his continued prominence that some see him as such an indispensable voice that they embrace him and are blind to his malevolent edge. Conservatives will enhance their credibility and the gravamen of their message when they jettison such divisive voices.
