Soon, I will be under the knife. What I most dislike about the experience is the sensation of “going under” and “coming to.”
Now, I realize that if I didn't go under and come to, I’d probably most dislike the excruciating pain. However, when I can get local anesthesia, that's what I prefer.
I feel this way with real life: Choose a “local” over a “general,” and enjoy the operation while conscious.
