Re: Bears Ears
Dear Honorables: Rep. Love & Sen. Hatch,
I challenge you to visit all of Utah state parks, as I have. Most of them are over-developed, dilapidated, dusty, crowded, dirty, polluted “postage stamps” that do not reference the beauty they once possessed. Please, please, please realize that the more populated we get, and the more pressure there is on these sacred, irreplaceable resources, the more protection we need.
Yes, I know some are mad about Bears Ears. However, they will soon find ways to profit from it (while it is protected) in far better ways than before. Decades from now, we all will praise the courage that it took to preserve them, and we will be glad we did.
Sincerely,
Loren M. Lambert
