Some people do a thing to arrive at another. When they get that “other,” the prior thing can then be quickly abandoned.
Some people do a thing because they must. When that passion brings them the gift of another, they can only hope that the “other” is mature and wise enough to know that the thing that is a matter of passion must necessarily become a passion that must be mutually shared, or at least accommodated.
So, only chose the “other,” and his or her passion, with a full understanding of its scope so you don't offer as your gift a premature departure from passion, which will leave a chasm that his or her remorse can never span.
