We Are Still a Feudal People

In ancient England and feudal Europe, if you were royalty and captured by enemy forces, often times you were kept for awhile, reparations were made, and you were released. If you were a peasant who assumed authority, like William of Wallace, you were tortured until death and your corpse displayed to the masses.

In modern America, if you are viewed as a conservative who engages in sexual harassment, you are given a multi-million dollar parachute ($24 million) and receive a higher paying job – or are elected president.

If you are a blue-collar worker and you are plagued with the slightest allegation, you're fired and blackballed for life.
