Hidden Falls’ Challenge

Today, I took the Hidden Falls’ challenge on the north side of the S-curves up big Cottonwood Canyon (you know – just opposite the Lake Blanche trail head).

For others who actually complete the Hidden Falls’ challenge, between now and the end of April 2017, I commit to donate $20 per person (up to a maximum of ten people), to each person’s favorite non-profit charity or short-movie production. Just think, you could all go up in two cars and get it done. It’s only going to go to the first 10 people who send me proof.  Here’s what you have to do:

Between March 6 and March 12, drive up to the Big Cottonwood Canyon’s S-curves. Hike the 100 yards, hike safely to the waterfall directly to the north, strip down at least to your swimming suit, and stand in the waterfall for at least 15 seconds so that you are entirely engulfed in the water. Be aware that your head gets really cold, fast, so don’t stay in any longer than that.

If it’s getting too strong, don’t go into the strongest part of the current.  Exit quickly, dry off and safely return to your car. Do not litter. Take a bag and pick up any litter you see. And take a picture and post it and tag me. Better yet, take a 15-second video!
