According to wealthy Donald Trump, he is smart for avoiding what most of us have to do: pay taxes. As a reminder for those of you who are unaware, taxes pay for all functions of federal and state governments – some of which we all agree are needed, and others of which there is great disagreement. Nevertheless, Mr. Trump apparently doesn’t even pay for the services we all can agree that the government necessarily provides.
The current Messiah of the Republican Party, Donald Trump, and a lot of those who are his disciples, despise the poor as morally deficient for being poor and for not being required to pay taxes. However, maybe they’re just smart, like Donald Trump.
Still, it’s interesting how the ultra right and those supporting Donald Trump admire him for avoiding the payment of taxes, yet they despise the poor as morally bankrupt for being in the same category as their Messiah.
