It's Semantics Separating the Country, Dummy! (And Lack of Critical Thinking)

Until now, I have not understood how Donald Trump has been using the word "bias" and "rigged." However, I figured it out:

Some people, including Donald Trump (DT) swear the media is biased against DT and are rigging the election against him. As proof, they cite that a larger percentage of air time has been devoted to DT'’s bad behavior and a lesser percent has been committed to his opponent's bad behavior. These people claim that  DT is only getting one out of every $25 donated by individuals connected to the media (and that one dollar was most likely donated by Fox News).

Some people claim that intellectuals, the educated, and professionals have a bias against Donald Trump and are rigging the election against him.  As proof, they state that a higher percentage of them support someone other than Donald Trump.

Some people claim that women have a bias against Donald Trump and are rigging the election against him. As proof, they state that a higher percentage of them support someone other than Donald Trump.

Some people claim that Hispanics, the LGBT, and black Americans have a bias against Donald Trump and are rigging the election against him. As proof, they state that a higher percentage of them support someone other than Donald Trump.

Some people claim the media has a liberal bias. As proof, they cite their difference of opinion with what the media has reported.

Some people claim our university and college professors have a liberal bias. As proof, they cite their difference of opinion with what the media has reported.

About 35 percent of the U.S. electorate claims that the rest of the country's electorate has a liberal bias against them, because they do not share their beliefs.  These beliefs include the following: the world is flat; sexual assault is okay (maybe even being a part of it); the moon landing was staged; 9/11 was an inside job; God will save them from their bad choices; Democrats and foreign countries are to blame for all their problems; cigarettes don’t cause cancer; inoculations cause autism; public schools are the devil’s playground; Arby’s is the pinnacle restaurant that all should emulate; and Donald Trump is the greatest gift (after Jesus) that God has ever given the world, and  he will make all their dreams come true.

This November 7, when Hillary Clinton or some other candidate wins, about 35 percent of the U.S. electorate will claim that the rest of the country's electorate not only has a liberal bias and a bias against Donald Trump, but that there were forces that rigged the election.

When DT and his supporters use the term, “bias,” and they claim the election is “rigged,” “this [in the words of DT] is what they are not telling you”: “Bias” is just a shorthand way of them admitting that we are more knowledgeable than they are and we have good reason not to support DT and they know it–they just don’t have enough self-awareness to realize they are slaves to their own emotion and ignorance.

So yes, the media, women, the educated, intellectuals, professionals, immigrants, Hispanics, the LGBT, black Americans, and almost all critically thinking Americans are liberally biased against DT and are going to "rig" the election.

I am also liberally biased against DT, and with good reason, I'm going to rig the election by voting against him. You should too.
