It is perplexing to witness the vitriol, the inciting to violence, the name-calling by Donald Trump and his supporters and even his less-than-enthusiastic fellow Republican leaders. But the explanation is simple and chilling.
Research, experience, and observations show that often, lawless mobs, vigilantes, tyrannical leaders and their followers victimize others to dehumanize, and to bond and set themselves up as elite.
So, you want to know why multitudinous Donald Trump supporters engage in despicable and belligerent behavior and speech? They are using their hatred to bond, in order to galvanize their sense of superiority, and to marginalize and ostracize others as less than human.
