Trump says he only engages in bigotry and acts belligerently, vulgarly, and disrespectfully because he has to win. In other words, he's just a puppet to circumstances and cannot lead, but must simply react. Since when was that a justification for vile behavior and speech?
If you elect him as your president, will it be okay that your children, spouses, bosses, soldiers, police officers, teachers, and government agents excuse their own bad behavior by justifying it in the same manner?
Is it okay for a leader to claim he has no agency and simply has to react to every insult, slight, and imagined offense in kind?
As a side note: If I was casting a bully for a movie, I would find that Mr. Trump's very appearance exudes offensiveness.
Does the body make the bully, or the bully make the body?
