Exercise: The More It Changes, The More It Stays the Same

There's a new exercise at my gym, VASA: You sit and pull, hand-over-hand, on a braided rope that enters a machine between your legs and then circles through the machine and out the top over your head. We used to do something like this at scout camp, except it involved a rope with which you pulled horizontally, and against a bunch of other people, until your hands were blistered and either you or the others got dragged along the ground. “Tug of war!”

What's next? I'm waiting for the one where you get to be chased by a real lion.
