The Earth Quakes Under My Sleeping Head

           I was woken up by an earthquake early this morning. I don't know how my mind was reacting, in my sleep, to its perception of danger, or whether the degree to what I experienced matched reality.  It sounded like a huge stampede of transformers ripping through the city. The whole building I was in was shaking. Quite unsettling! I could then hear the barking and howling of all the dogs within the area.
