The Rough Art of Bar Band Listening

Trying to listen to the finesse, virtuosity and excellence of a band at a bar is like attending a wine tasting, where the wine is floated to your mouth on the surface of the Chicago river. Or, maybe it's like trying to catch the sound of angels through a Category 5 hurricane, or enjoying a candlelight gourmet meal in the middle of a junkyard. Hard to tell – is it fine wine, an angel or a gourmet meal?

Tonight, I'm pretty sure it was all three – and a possible choice for the lead female in the music video I am producing.

Well done, Natalia Noble, with Black Bess and the Butchers. It's just too bad upcoming bands can't get their start in symphony halls.
