In our political discourse, so many people think that if they can find something written on the internet that touts all the bells and whistles that coordinate with their favorite website’s narrative, it must be true. Frankly, many who reply to my posts suffer from that misguided approach.
These internet news sites are more effective than any prior propaganda campaigns in modern history. Imagine churning out statements that do not adhere to any journalistic standards, and having an army of individuals looking for any information to support their biases and conclusions, regardless of the credibility of their sources, and re-posting it for you thousands of times. If Trump wins, it will be a triumph of fiction over fact, fear over reason, and force over faith and fairness.
