Air Force One – The Flying Presidential Military Command Center. NPR – One Good Source Of Information, Or A Liberal/Progressive/Professorial Wasteland?

A few people I know gripe about NPR being a liberal/progressive/professorial bastion, but I never hear any specifics. I want to know of examples to which you can give a link, or cite specific news stories. (For pointers: A story isn't biased because it relates to a topic you don't want to hear, or gives air time to people with whom you disagree.)

Let me add one more thing: There are, of course, some programs on NPR in which I can distinguish a particular host’s background and philosophical constituency by the questions they ask and the manner in which they ask them. Yet, by being a critical thinker, I can recognize that and thereby analyze the information accordingly.

Many of those hosts still invite and allow contrary voices onto their programs and strive to do so on an almost equal basis. One good example is Diane Rehms.

However, no such allegations can be made regarding hosts who deal with more neutral subjects, like Science Friday, Radio Lab, etc. Still, given the intelligence and the vocabulary they use, I suspect that in regard to certain scientific and social issues, they would be deemed by conservatives to be progressive or liberal.

Let me add that it was refreshing, this morning, to hear a more clearheaded analysis of how President-elect Donald Trump’s tweet affected Boeing, as well as when and why it may have been made, and what are some of the known facts regarding any contract for a new presidential airplane.

This was quite different than Salt Lake City’s KSL no-facts, opinion-heavy, rumor mill of yesterday.
